UK Sailmakers Hong Kong is at the forefront of the growing sailing scene in Asia. In the local region and even further afield, our race course successes help us maintain a very high profile in providing both the cruising sailor and the competitive racing sailor with a top quality product at a very attractive price. 

It is interesting to note that UK Sailmakers Hong Kong has been in operation for considerably longer than the more recent regional growth in sailing.

UK Sailmakers Hong Kong was a very successful Horizon Sails loft before joining the Ulmer/Kolius group, which shortened its name to UK Sailmakers in 1987. With a production level in excess of several thousand yacht sails per year, UK Sailmakers Hong Kong is the largest production loft in the UK Sailmakers group and one of the largest in the world.

To maintain such impressive volume, while maintaining absolutely top-level sails, requires very efficient production and quality control systems. Our skilled and dedicated management team comprises of experienced expatriate racing sailors and sailmakers, working alongside 80 highly trained and skilled Chinese sailmakers. In fact most of our production staff have been with us for more than 20 years. This level of dedication and experience helps UK Sailmakers Hong Kong maintain a quality level that is the envy of other sailmakers around the world.
